I was Board President of a 18 story, 204 unit condominium in Hallandale Beach, FL for three consecutive years.  I met Thomas Cheever while the Building was looking for a structural engineer to do our concrete restoration project.  After interviewing numerous engineers that did not impress myself or the BOD, Thomas was a breath of fresh air.  He actually listened to the needs of the building, and the conservative approach the BOD wished to proceed with.  After Thomas’s inspection of the building, he came up with a solid plan which was consecutive, while still addressing what repairs needed to be done to maintain the building’s safety.  What completely impressed me most about Thomas was that his opinions and recommendations did not sway.  Everything he

I was the previous Board President of an 18-story, 240 unit, Oceanfront condominium built in 1972. The Association and Board of Directors was securing bids for garage and exterior concrete as well as exterior paint and replacement of our aluminum picket railings to glass railings. We interviewed several Engineers to lead this extensive renovation, which would also include the 40-year inspection of the building.
