I was the previous Board President of an 18-story, 240 unit, Oceanfront condominium built in 1972. The Association and Board of Directors was securing bids for garage and exterior concrete as well as exterior paint and replacement of our aluminum picket railings to glass railings. We interviewed several Engineers to lead this extensive renovation, which would also include the 40-year inspection of the building. The Board made the decision to engage Florida Technical, Inc. and Thomas Cheever. Our experience in working with Thomas and Florida Technical, Inc. was very
positive. Thomas's extensive knowledge on all aspects of the projects, ability to simultaneously manage multiple tasks while providing the Board with weekly project management reports and conducting in-person meetings, ensured the variety of tasks and deliverables met the stated timelines. His approach in handling situations outside of the "scoped" work always was viewed through the lens of the Association’s best interest. Most importantly, every project that Thomas managed came in on or under budget.
I would highly recommend Thomas Cheever and frankly recently referred him to a neighboring building who is going through major concrete renovations.
